Energy & Natural Resources Funds

Investors in the oil industry got stuck in a dry hole last year. But the days of an world oil glut and low gasoline prices appear to be gone. As a result, mutual funds that focus on oil struck a gusher this year.

Excelsior Energy & Natural Resources Fund, managed by Michael Hoover, ranks among the Top 10 performers in this category (with minimum investments of 5,000 or less) this year. Mr. Hoover expects the high-octane returns to continue as Asia's economic renewal generates a greater demand for crude.
