Movin' out

Before you start throwing everything into boxes in a mad panic as the movers drive up, calm down and take time to plan your packing:

*Do you want to throw something away? Do it now - and you won't have to unpack it later!

*Pack items you seldom use, first.

*Don't make any carton too heavy to lift easily.

*Tape all cartons on the top and the bottom.

*Write "open first" on essential items (bedding, toiletries, utensils), and remember to load these boxes into the van last. Label boxes with the room for which they are intended.

*Bubble wrap protects glassware and other fragile items.
