Put a lid on America's trash
Haul out those garbage bags and pick up, America!
That's the message from the Great American Cleanup, a nationwide effort to beautify neighborhoods, sponsored by Keep America Beautiful, in Stamford, Conn.
From mid-March to mid-May, more than 2 million people are expected to pick up trash, repaint public buildings, plant flowers, and buff up communities in 36 states and the District of Columbia.
Keep America Beautiful has a Web site (www.kab.org) for people interested in participating.
