Lobster half gainer

Lobbed into the Atlantic off the coast of Rhode Island, this female lobster is one of 1.25 million being released to rebuild the local population. A 1996 oil spill, the state's worst, had decimated the lobster population in Block Island Sound. Angela Caporelli oversees the $8 million project, which is paid for by the company responsible for the spill.
