Tubegazing: Felicity's American Girl adventure

Felicity: An American Girl Adventure

(The WB, Nov. 29, 8-10 p.m.)

Spunky, courteous, and daring, 11-year-old Felicity is more concerned with rescuing Penny, an abused horse, than worrying about politics on the eve of the Revolutionary War. But as the young heroine gallops astride her equine and cares for a mean neighbor, her family finds itself divided: Felicity's father, a Patriot, clashes with her grandfather's Loyalist sympathies. Worse, a family friend - also a Loyalist - is about to be locked up in the hoosegow. Based on the American Girl Collection of dolls and books, the sweet if clumsily told tale, celebrates neighborliness and kindness as frontier values. (Also on DVD Dec. 6.)
