Knight keeps winning during 41 years on and off the bench

Bob Knight, the basketball mastermind known as much for his volatility as his coaching ability, placed public attention squarely on the latter in notching his 880th career victory Monday. With Texas Tech's 70-68 win over New Mexico, he became the all-time leader among Division I men's basketball coaches, surpassing the old mark held by Dean Smith, who retired in 1997. While Smith compiled his total at one school, North Carolina, Knight has achieved his milestone serving at three: Army, Indiana (where he won three national championships in 29 years), and Texas Tech, which hired him in 2001 after a turbulent parting of the ways with Indiana. Coaches with the most career victories (shown) who've spent a minimum of 10 seasons in Division I, and the last school where they've worked:
