Carlos Mureithi is the Africa correspondent at The Christian Science Monitor, where he covers stories from different parts of the continent. He is based in Nairobi.
Prior to joining the Monitor, Carlos was the East Africa editor at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. His work has also been published by Reuters, Al Jazeera, Quartz, the Daily Nation and The New York Times, among other outlets.
Carlos has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the United States International University - Africa and a master’s from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where he was a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.
