Elisabeth Braw is based in London. She has previously reported from Washington and San Francisco, and continues to cover Germany and the Baltic Sea region. She was most recently a Europe correspondent for Newsweek and a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. In addition to the Monitor, she writes for The Economist and Foreign Affairs. She is also a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, the Washington think tank.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
