Ellen Meyers is a business desk intern at The Christian Science Monitor. She covers all types of business and consumer news, from food and cars to stocks and CEOs. She currently attends Syracuse University, where she studies newspaper and online journalism and finance. This past spring, she interned at the Central New York Business Journal in Syracuse, New York and she also interned at The Monitor in summer 2014.

While balancing her academics, Ellen has edited and written for numerous student publication, including The Daily Orange, Baked magazine, and The NewsHouse. Besides journalism, she likes books, hockey, photography, video games, and Syracuse sports. She is originally from Lexington, Massachusetts.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
