Joseph Dussault joined the Monitor in 2015 as a science intern with a special interest in paleontology. He returned in 2016 to join the Monitor's Rapid Response Team.

Joseph is pursuing a B.A. in Journalism and Music Industry at Northeastern University. He previously worked on the breaking news desk at Boston.com. As a music critic, his writing has appeared in indie publications such as Tastemakers Magazine and Mind Equals Blown. 

He lives in Boston with his cat, Leah, who is also a Monitor alumna. In his spare time, he makes music with modified video game consoles.

Why is Christian Science in our name?

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we’ve aimed “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind,” as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.
