Josh Kenworthy joined the Monitor in 2016 as an editor-in-training before becoming a staff writer for the National newsdesk in Boston. He is a writer and also produces video.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He began his career with online business and politics website, Business Spectator, in Melbourne, where he worked on both the news and commentary desks. He wrote on Australia’s mining sector as well as general politics, companies, and markets news.

Prior to journalism, he was a drummer. He played in bands and taught while completing an advanced diploma in contemporary music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Josh enjoys following his beloved Australian rules football team, The Fremantle Dockers (2016 was a tough year), listening to great music and talking with people.
