Judy Nichols Douglass

Judy Nichols Douglass is the Monitor’s chief copy editor and is based in Boston. She has held a number of other positions at the Monitor, including staff editor on the national desk, Middle East editor, assistant arts editor, and People Making a Difference editor. In 2019 she joined the copydesk, which provides proofreading and fact-checking support for Monitor content, and she became chief copy editor in 2023.

Judy has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio, where she majored in English and minored in political science.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
