Middle East Editor

Kenneth Kaplan is the Diplomacy and Middle East Editor at the Christian Science Monitor. He came to the Monitor to edit on the National Desk in 2010 after stints at the Jerusalem Post, where he was the military affairs reporter, and the Boston Globe, where he was Assistant Foreign Editor.

Ken moved into the Monitor’s Middle East “chair” in 2014 and added U.S. foreign policy coverage to his duties in 2018. He likes to cook and garden, and watches birds and quite a lot of baseball.
