Lucy Schouten

Lucy Schouten wrote for The Christian Science Monitor's Rapid Response Team from 2015 to 2016. She holds a bachelor in communications with studies in journalism, Arabic, and Middle Eastern studies from Brigham Young University, where she was editor of the BYU Universe. 

Schouten grew up in Arizona and is proud to have hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim twice.

Why is Christian Science in our name?

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
