Patrick Torphy

Patrick Torphy joined The Christian Science Monitor in September as a Rapid Response intern. 

A junior journalism major at Emerson College, Patrick previously worked as a producer and news director for 88.9 FM WERS, where he reported on the heroin epidemic in New England, the 1-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombings, and access to healthcare for people who are transgender.  In the summer of 2014, he spent five weeks in Israel during Operation Protective Edge covering the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Patrick has also been published by the Philadelphia Inquirer and is originally from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
