Samantha is pursuing a B.A. in English literature at Principia College in Elsah, Ill. She will complete her undergraduate degree this fall with an academic abroad to England. 

She previously worked as the poetry editor for her college's online literary magazine, Mistake House. Last fall, she studied Czech literature, history, and visual art while abroad in Prague. She played for Principia College's softball and soccer teams and worked in the library as a writing tutor for three years.

When not at school, she lives on an apple farm near San Luis Obispo, Calif., with her family, an Australian Shepherd puppy, and five elderly cats.
