Sarah Caspari joined the Monitor in June 2015 as a Social First intern, after graduating from the College of William and Mary with a B.A. in English and Latin American studies.

She held several positions at William and Mary's student newspaper The Flat Hat, including features editor and chief staff writer, and her work has also been published by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. Sarah spent a semester and a summer in La Plata, Argentina studying, interning, and doing research on subjects related to human rights during the last dictatorship.

She is from northern New Jersey, but likes to tell people she is from New York.
