Examining both Russian life and the human condition, Chekhov learned to convey his meaning with a minimum of stylistic fuss and yet a maximum of force. There may be no happy endings in Chekhov but there is the beauty of language put to its best possible use.
Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
