Infuriated by Hilly's plan and eager to write about something meaningful, Skeeter decides to write a book from the perspective of "the help." Skeeter hopes her book will shine a light on prejudice in the community. Aibileen, Minny, and other maids – fearful but eager to tell their stories to the world – decide to help her.
