In this six-part series, Nicholas Flammel, famed French alchemist who died hundreds of years ago, is actually still alive, and running a bookstore in San Francisco. Young twins Sophie and Josh get caught in an epic battle between good and evil when Dr. John Dee kidnaps Nicholas' immortal wife and steals a valuable magical book. Sophie and Josh must work with Flammel to help stop Dr. John Dee from bringing evil forces back to life and to retrieve the book before the Flammels' immortality runs out.
