Kaling did a taped dance audition for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and bought a pink leotard and a gauzy white ballet skirt. "I looked like the children's birthday party performer playing Angelina Ballerina," she wrote. "A Kevin Federline-looking choreographer taught us an incredibly complicated Bollywood dance routine.... I stumbled through it like a groggy teamster who had wandered into the wrong room backstage, breathing heavily and vaguely hitting my marks.... I like to think Andrew Lloyd Webber watches it whenever he's feeling down."
