Rosanne Cash, Johnny Cash’s oldest daughter from his first marriage, and a successful singer/songwriter in her own right, published a book of short stories called “Bodies of Water”. Publisher’s Weekly said Cash wrote “with persistent earnestness, if not skill.” Cash went on to write a children’s book called Penelope Jane: A Fairy’s Tale. The Kirkus review of this work was harsher, pointing out the book’s “extra-wide margins,” yet also conceding that it was a cut above most celebrity writing.
