Dr. Seuss (aka, Theodor Seuss Geisel), one of the most influential writers and illustrators of our time, was born on March 2, 1904. His dozens of books for beginning readers – including "The Cat in the Hat," "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish," and "Green Eggs and Ham" – have been overwhelmingly read and loved since he began publishing in the late 1930s. Today works by Seuss can be found in nearly every elementary school in the United States. To celebrate his birthday, here are 25 quotes from this American icon.
