American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, by Colin Woodard, is an unapologetically cultural view of American thought and politics. It has opened my eyes to the relevance of America’s mini “nations.” This is US history as it should be taught.
Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
