Clockers

I have entered the last 40 pages of Richard Price’s Clockers, and I am stalling. I want to gobble up those last delightfully gritty and bittersweet words, and yet I don’t want the tale to end. Despite the ultimately sad story this book tells, the characters shine, and will long live on in my mind. If you liked HBO’s “The Wire,” read Richard Price!
