Iran Awakening

Iran Awakening, written by Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi, was a startling discovery. This, along with “Persepolis,” a graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, provides a window into Iranian society. Just as in every developed country, an educated and sophisticated citizenry exists, which the USA has interfered with at least as far back as 1953, when we removed the democratically elected prime minister and imposed the Western-leaning Shah.
