For those concerned with climate change, I heartily recommend two outstanding titles. Both are impressive discussions of the probable causes and effects of CO2 global emission excess: The End of the Long Summer by Dianne Dumanoski and Climate Change: Picturing the Science by Gavin Schmidt and Joshua Wolfe.
