In Voices from the Peace Corps, Angene and Jack Wilson pass on stories gleaned from 100 interviews with Peace Corps volunteers from Kentucky spanning all five Peace Corps decades. Reading it, I was struck by the triple effect the Peace Corps has had: on the cultures where volunteers served, on the volunteers' lives, and on Americans' understanding of the wider world. This excellent book should further that understanding.
