“Star Trek Into Darkness” actress Zoe Saldana will reportedly star in the NBC TV remake of the classic horror film “Rosemary’s Baby.”
As we previously reported, NBC is crafting the remake as a four-hour miniseries and “Treme” director Agnieszka Holland is on board to direct the adaptation. “Queen of the Damned” writer Scott Abbott and James Wong of “American Horror Story” are penning the script.
“Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” NBC’s executive vice-president for movies, miniseries, and international co-productions Quinn Taylor said of Saldana’s casting, according to Deadline.
Saldana recently starred in this spring’s film “Star Trek Into Darkness” as well as this winter’s “Out of the Furnace” and the 2009 film “Avatar.”
