The Hoosier state is America's No. 1 job-creator, helped by the strong rebound in manufacturing. If Indiana was California-sized, it would have created 273,000 jobs – nearly a quarter of all the jobs the US has created in the past seven months. For a full-blown recovery in the national labor market, other states will have to step up the pace in job growth.
