Okay, so this isn't a scene from the opera, but I couldn't resist using this image. This is actually Al speaking during a business conference in Tel Aviv on May 20.

The Associated Press is reporting that La Scala, one of the world's most famous opera houses, will be staging an operatic rendition of "An Inconvenient Truth."

Officials from the Milan opera house say that composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to produce an opera based on Al Gore's 2006 documentary, which will premiere in the 2011 season.
