The must-see U.S. green landmarks

Summer is vacation time, and these days, almost anywhere you might travel in the United States, you'll probably find a "green landmark" nearby that's worth a visit.
What's a green landmark? According to a Travel + Leisure article last November, it's an outstanding example of iconic green design.
The magazine spotlighted 10 of these emblematic, environmental design destinations as must-sees for travelers (we've omitted the one that hasn't been built):
California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco
Nationals Park, Washington, D.C.
5.4.7 Arts Center, Greensburg, Kan.
Cavallo Point – the Lodge at the Golden Gate, Fort Baker, Calif.
Santa Monica Civic Center Parking Structure, Santa Monica, Calif.
World Birding Center, Bentsen – Rio Grande Valley State Park, Mission, Texas
But that's not the only Top 10 list out there. Earlier this week, Mother Nature Network came out with its own list, which looked more at environmental qualities and less at design. While there was some duplication, here are MNN's additions:
Possible additions to a list of top green landmarks:
Philips Eco-Enterprise Center in Minneapolis
Almost any botanical garden. The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis is a good example.
Good farmers' markets with lots of organic produce
As you hop into your hybrid car to head out on vacation, what would you add to a list of environmentally friendly must-see sights in the US, or abroad?
