If the Verizon iPhone is anything like the AT&T model, most customers will want to purchase a case, lest they inflict the dreaded "death grip."
Verizon iPhones have a slightly different frame than AT&T iPhones. Apple says the corrections optimize the phone for CDMA networks. It may also correct the "death grip" issue, but it's too early to tell.
If you are in the market for an iPhone case, investigate carefully. Some current iPhone cases will not fit the Verizon version.
Verizon's iPhone FAQ shared this warning: "If I have an iPhone 4 on another wireless carrier and switch to an iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless, will all of my accessories be compatible? Most accessories should work, however you may find that cases and covers could be different depending on the product manufacturer."
