Way back in 2007, Facebook introduced LivePoke, a trademarked functionality rolled out just in time for April Fools' Day. The idea behind LivePoke was pretty simple: Click on the icon, and Facebook would send a real, live person to the house of your friend, to administer a real live poke. Perfect for people bored with computerized poking! Alas, the feature was good only for the "first 100 hundred pokes." After that, you had to get off your couch and do the poking yourself.
