iOS 8's notification center expands functionality through widgets

iOS finally has an edge over Android in terms of notifications. iOS 8 now gives users the option to quick-reply to a text message in the notification pane without having to open another app. This sort of functionality hasn’t been officially added to Android’s messaging app, but third-party SMS apps, such as ChompSMS, fill in those gaps.
