Abrams about a group of friends who are forced to flee a monster invading New York City carried out a mysterious marketing campaign before the movie's release. The voice who can be heard yelling "Oh my God!" repeatedly in the film when the head of the Statue of Liberty hits the ground was that of producer Bryan Burk.
