Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

An easy and free way to keep soil from washing out of the bottom of pots is to cover the hole in the bottom with a double thickness of old pantyhose. A piece of old fiberglass screening works well, too. So do coffee filters, I’ve been told.
