Monitor movie critic Peter Rainer calls this 2008 film "one of the better entries" from Pixar. "Wall-E" centers on a robot of the same name who spends his days "compacting city trash and piling it sky-high," while humans, who abandoned Earth 700 years ago, live on spaceships and "loll in robo-loungers and are attended to by robo-servants." When Wall-E meets Eve, another robot, his world is turned outside down. Kids will love the touching romance and action sequences, and parents will praise the film's subtle lesson on environmental sustainability.
