Based on the 1937 fictionalized memoir by Karen Blixen, writing under the pseudonym Isak Dinesen, "Out of Africa" stars Redford and Meryl Streep. Streep portrays Blixen, a Danish settler in Kenya who falls in love with Redford's character, Denys Finch Hatton, a freewheeling big-game hunter.
Directed by Sydney Pollack, the film won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
