As "The Lorax" arrives in theaters this weekend, here are seven previous Seuss film adaptations – the good and the bad.

5. 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'

The 2000 film of the Christmas story starred Jim Carrey as the Grinch and "Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen as the young Who Cindy Lou Who. The movie did well at the box office, but received uneven reviews. During production, Carrey improvised the line "Dinner with me – I can't cancel that again!" which he delivered when listing all the things he has to do that evening.
