3. Love Me Tender

Elvis released "Love Me Tender" in 1956. The song was recorded for the movie by the same name. The movie was originally going to be called "The Reno Brothers" but was changed to Love Me Tender after the song shot up the charts. Love Me Tender is actually an adaptation of a Civil War ballad, "Aura Lee," published in 1861.
