CNN host Rick Sanchez was fired from the network last month after launching a tirade on a satellite radio show, targeting "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart and Jews in the media.

On the “Stand Up! With Pete Dominick” show, Mr. Sanchez called Mr. Stewart a bigot and suggested that his own career had been held back because he is a Cuban-American and Jews run CNN and “all the other” networks. Stewart often ridiculed Sanchez on "The Daily Show," stirring animosity between the two.

Sanchez later apologized for his remarks, blaming fatigue and a hectic work schedule for causing him to lash out. Sanchez has initially appeared on the radio show to promote his new book: "Conventional Idiocy."
