But you could do that any day of the year. Really. It just takes a bit of practice and patience.

This is another myth made popular by the erroneous belief that day and night are equal length during the autumnal equinox, and that by some astronomical force, one can balance eggs on their end, often only within hours of the moment the sun passes over the equator.

The only requirement for egg balancing is a firm and flat surface.
