Tea Party Top 10 biggest winners and losers

6. John Boozman, Arkansas

John Boozman, Republican winner of the Arkansas US Senate seat, on Monday, Nov. 1 in Fort Smith, Ark.

Conservative John Boozman defeated Arkansas Democratic incumbent Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who has held the US Senate seat since 1999.

An optometrist and cattle-farm owner, Boozman has served Arkansas's 3rd District in the US House of Representatives since 2001. Lincoln lost, say some analysts, because she was too close to President Barack Obama.

Boozman won the endorsement of the Arkansas Tea Party and the Saline County Tea Party. He was also backed by the NRA and anti-abortion groups.

In a written statement, Boozman told his supporters that he won because "we fought together" for "a balanced budget, a repeal of Obamacare, secure borders and lower taxes."
