BECK: Do you remember Obama's science czar, John Holdren? Love this cat. Here's what he said -- he advocated the de-development of the United States.

Let's watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN HOLDREN, OBAMA SCIENCE CZAR: I think, ultimately, the rate of growth of material consumption is going to have to come down. And there's going to have to be a degree of redistribution of how much we consume, in terms of energy and material resources, in order to leave room for people who are poor to become more prosperous.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: So, if you want to use less energy, you could become more efficient, or you could do something that would make energy costs necessarily skyrocket. Cap-and-trade, doesn't that what the president say? We'd use less energy because we'd have to pay more for it, and then that money would go over here to places like Kenya.

You're feeling all warm and cuddly inside. It's going to be good! This is what America voted for when they voted for change!

When all is said and done, the president and the radicals he has surrounded himself with, when all is said and done and they successfully de-developed America to make the whole world huggable and soft. It's going to be great. Everyone won't have been lifted, they'll just be dragged down to the same kind of miserable kind of existence.

Imagine, America, what your life is going to be like when everybody in the world makes -- yes! Now how much would you pay? You, too, can go from $47,000 a year, all the way down to $14,000. Happy?

This is the M.O. of this administration. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 6/29/10, transcript via Nexis]
