Barry Sanders was a running back at Oklahoma State when he won the Heisman Trophy in 1988. Sanders then went to the Detroit Lions, where he electrified crowds throughout the NFL with his slashing running style that left many a defender grasping for air in his wake. He gained at least 1,100 yards in each season of his ten-year career, ending up with over 15,000 yards and 99 touchdowns. Sanders is third on the NFL's all-time career rushing chart. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
