Minor league baseball teams often choose nicknames that reflect the local characteristics of the cities they represent. Some of these can be pretty obscure, such as the Toledo Mud Hens, Fort Wayne Tin Caps, or the Las Vegas 51s. Others more strongly hint at their locations.
