UPDATE: This event has ended. You can watch Wednesday's forum in the video player above. Stay tuned for further coverage at the Cyber Conflict Monitor.
On cybersecurity, it’s easy to be nervous.
American defense thinkers rate it as the nation’s top threat – everything from cyber-espionage to a massive attack on critical national infrastructure like the power grid.
American consumers see their personal data siphoned off from mega-retailers, and wonder if the government is respecting the boundaries between personal privacy and national security.
Can we be secure in cyberspace? And equally important, how can the US government, American enterprises, and ordinary citizens reduce, rather than stoke, fears about cybersecurity?
The Center for National Policy and The Christian Science Monitor invite you to join the first in a series of cybersecurity events that bring together the most original thought leaders and cutting-edge practitioners in the field, livestreamed on this page from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 12.
This event will examine the Obama administration's soon-to-be released cybersecurity framework – what more is needed from Congress, and how the nation can better balance the need to ward off cyber threats while maintaining strong privacy protections.
You can tweet questions and thoughts to the speakers and panelists with the hashtag #CyberRoadmap.
