Lydia Tomkiw is a former intern for the International desk at the Monitor.
She received a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She was a senior editor of Columbia's Journal of International Affairs.
She spent a month reporting on the ongoing economic and political changes in Ukraine. From 2011 to 2012, she was a Princeton in Asia journalism fellow at The Jakarta Globe in Indonesia where she worked as a journalist and web editor. She previously interned at Foreign Policy Magazine. She received her BA with honors from Wesleyan University in 2011.
