The United States is experiencing the longest period of consecutive month-to-month job growth in its history, but there are a few states that stand out in the crowd. Kiplinger has ranked the 10 states expected to experience the fastest rates of job growth in 2016. Can you guess which one tops the chart?

1. Idaho

Idaho tops the list with an expected job growth rate of 3.5 percent. Idaho's tech industry is strong, and growing. According to Kiplinger, Hewlett-Packard, Micron, Oracle, and ON Semiconductor all have a strong presence in the state, and Micron is expected to expand in 2017. The availability of land is a strong factor in companies choosing to expand in Idaho. Idaho also has a strong aerospace industry.
